June 2009
Welcome
Father's Day is June 21st!
Dear Members,
Father's Day is just around the corner and I look forward to setting some time aside to relax and appreciate what really is important in life – family. As a nation, it seems we are turning to a more scaled back outlook on life and with my family it is no different. So when asked for my Father’s day wish list this year, I left off the golf gadgets, new grill and electronics and asked for some more meaningful and lasting gifts. In case you need any ideas, here are some items on my wish list:
- A card hand made by my kids
- A framed clay imprint of my children’s handprints or footprints
- A special scrapbook with pictures and a note from the kids that they can add to each year
- A family afternoon picnic
- Breakfast made by my wife and kids
- A t-shirt or mug with the words "Proud Father". Yeah, I know it sounds cheesy and cliché, but I'm proud to be a father, proud of my kids, and proud of my family
