Hi -- I'm Karen Collins from the Atlanta, Georgia suburbs and ALL of my BigCrumb earnings will go toward a special missions effort taking place already . . .

Having been involved in foreign missions for many years (on staff at a missions agency for 4 years, missionary to Chile for 2 years, & now married to a missions agency administrator), it's obvious MISSIONS is one of my heart's passions.

So when I met ERIC LARSEN and his beautiful family (see their family photo at the LEFT in the Pics section) and learned of his valuable ministry to missionary kids, along with his vision for training international youth ministers, I wanted to help. But I just wasn't sure how.

Today, Sept. 9, 2008, I was having lunch with my husband, Steve, for whom Eric works from a remote location, St. Louis, MO. Eric had just emailed Steve from Black Forest Academy in Kandern, Germany (www.bfacademy.com) where he was asked to speak to the predominantly MK (missionary kid) high school-age student body. He was so encouraged at their responses to his stories and insight (Eric himself was an MK) and so charged up about the way God was using him to reach this unique crowd of young people. In his email, he wrote, "I'd love to find more opportunities like this . . . " to be able to talk with more MKs at this stage in their lives . . . but I knew this would require more funding, since Eric has had to raise all of his own support.

His email touched me. I immediately began to pray that God would help me find a way to raise funds for this ministry so key to missionary kids around the world.

When I returned to my office, I happened to read a forum posting by one of my new friends in cyberspace, thediaperbaker (Angie in FL), where she raved about the BigCrumbs.com site and how it helps us save and earn money by shopping at the places we shop all the time. Well, I just knew God had led me to that forum posting for this very reason--to use BigCrumbs.com as a means of helping fund Eric's ministry by finding a great many people who wanted to "save & earn money" themselves by shopping at the same places they always shop.
