General Card Questions
What is the BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard®?
The BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® is a reloadable MasterCard® available exclusively to BigCrumbs members. To learn more about the card or to apply, click here.
How long will it take to receive my card in the mail?
Your new card will arrive in the mail within 7-10 business days after you successfully pass identification verification*. Your BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® is mailed via USPS First Class Mail. If you do not receive your card within 15 business days, please call cardholder customer service at 1-800-831-2273.
How much does it cost?
There is no application fee and NO monthly card fee with the NEW BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard®!
Many cardholders will never pay any fees, however, some fees may apply depending on how you use your card. Please refer to the Card Fees section for more information regarding fees.
Is a bank account required?
No. No bank account is required.
What should I do if my prepaid MasterCard® is lost or stolen?
Report lost or stolen cards by calling the toll-free number listed on the back of the card or in the card materials. You may also call 1-800-831-2273.
How long can I use my Prepaid MasterCard®?
You can make purchases using your card until the expiration date shown on the card, or until the value of the card has been depleted. Remember, you can always reload your card until the expiration date.
Does my card expire?
Yes, the card expires as of the date printed on the front of the card.
I'm not a BigCrumbs member, can I apply for the card?

How do I get started with my Prepaid MasterCard®?
When you receive your card, you can activate the card online or call the phone number on the card to activate it. Review the materials that came with your card for additional details.
You should first check your available balance. Once your card is loaded with cash, you are ready to make purchases, pay bills, or withdraw cash at ATMs worldwide. You can also manage your account online.
How Can I Check My Card Balance?
Log in to your BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® account online to see your account statement and transactions for FREE. You can also sign up to receive FREE balance text message alerts sent to your cell phone. Or, you may call customer service at 1-800-831-2273.
Loading and Adding Money to My Card
What's the easiest way to keep my BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® loaded with cash?
There are many ways to load your card:
BigCrumbs Cash Back
BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® cardholders will have the option to have their monthly cash back payments automatically deposited directly onto the card.
Direct Deposit
Another easy way to load your prepaid MasterCard® is through Direct Deposit. You can add cash to your account regularly and automatically by having all or part of your paycheck deposited directly to your card account for FREE!
Add Money*
You may also load money to your card with funds from banks or other financial institutions (including MoneyGram and PayPal) to your prepaid MasterCard® card.

Can I transfer money from my PayPal account to my prepaid MasterCard® card?
Yes, you can set up your prepaid MasterCard® as a funding option in PayPal. To do so, you'll add your card as a checking account (not as a credit card).

Can I transfer money from my personal bank account to my prepaid MasterCard® card?
Yes, you can authorize a transfer from your personal bank account or other financial institutions such as PayPal to your BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® account.

Can I transfer money from my BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® account to my bank account?
Yes, you can transfer funds from your BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® account to your bank account. Please refer to the Schedule of Fees and Charges for applicable fees. Note that one transfer to your bank account per BigCrumbs pay period is free.
Note: We do NOT recommend that you transfer money from your BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® to your PayPal Account, as PayPal may place a hold on your PayPal account for an extended settlement period.
Can I transfer money from my BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® account to my PayPal account?
We do NOT recommend that you transfer money from your BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® to your PayPal Account, as PayPal may place a hold on your PayPal account for an extended settlement period.
Can I get cash from my BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard®?
Yes, you can use your BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® at ATMs nationwide. Please refer to the Schedule of Fees and Charges for applicable fees.
What should I do when I've spent the original amount I had on the card?
If you earned cash back that month, your cash back payment will automatically be deposited onto the card.
You can also add more money to your card. The card will remain "active" as long as you add money to the card at least once within a 6 month period.
Where to Use My Card
Where can I use my BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard®?
You can use your card online, over the phone and at the millions of places that accept MasterCard® prepaid card--including supermarkets, pharmacies, clothing stores, gas stations and more.
Card Fees
Does the BigCrumbs PrePaid MasterCard® have any fees?
There is no application fee or fee to obtain the card and there is NO monthly card fee with the new BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard®!
Will I be charged a fee when I make a purchase?
No. Purchases, including PIN-based and signed, have no associated fees.
Are there fees for transferring money to my card?
No. You may transfer funds onto the card from PayPal, your bank account, or direct deposit without incurring any card fees *.
There is a card-to-card transfer fee, however, of $1.00.
* However, your bank may charge fees for transferring funds. Please review your banking services agreement or contact your bank's customer support for details.
Are there fees for transferring money from my card?
You may transfer money from the card to a bank account once per BigCrumbs card load without incurring any card fees.
Additional transfers will be charged a card fee of $1.25 each.
Does it cost to withdraw cash from an ATM?
For domestic ATM withdrawals, you will be charged a fee of $1.00. Additional ATM surcharges can be avoided, however, by using on the surcharge free ATMs found at http://www.mastercard.com/us/personal/en/cardholderservices/atmlocations/index.html (be sure to check the "Surcharge free" box when searching).
Also note that you can obtain cash back at the point of sale for PIN-based purchases at merchants who support this. There is no fee when this is done, so many cardholders will find this a convenient, free alternative to ATMs.
