Shopping/Receiving Cash Back On Your Own Purchases
How Does BigCrumbs.com Work?
When you visit BigCrumbs.com before shopping online and click our links to reach over 400 retailers, BigCrumbs.com is paid a commission. We pass that commission on to you!
Membership is 100% FREE. There are no hidden costs and you don't pay extra when shopping at our featured retailers. It's really that simple!
You can also earn more cash by referring friends who join BigCrumbs.
What Do I Have To Do To Get Credit For My Purchases?

The eBay credit process is slightly different. Please see the eBay Questions section below for more information on receiving cash back from your eBay purchases.
If I Make Two Purchases From The Same Retailer, Do I Have To Come Back to BigCrumbs.com?
Yes. For purchases at retailers other than eBay, you must return to BigCrumbs.com to activate your credit again. Of course, you can also use your QuickCrumb Bookmark to re-activate your credit.
A purchase is defined a single order checkout process. A single purchase can include multiple items, and you will receive credit for the entire total purchase. However, before initiating a new and completely separate checkout process, you must return to BigCrumbs.com to re-activate your credit.
The eBay credit process is slightly different. Please see the eBay Questions section below for more information on receiving cash back from your eBay purchases.
How Long Does It Take For My Credit To Appear?
Typically 1 to 2 weeks, however it can take up to one month for credits to appear on your account, depending on the retailer.
How Much Cash Back Do I Get From My Own Shopping?
The amount earned varies by retailer, and sometimes by the type of product or service purchased. It also depends on whether you're a CrumbSaver or CrumbEarner.
The cash back amount is displayed with the retailers' details, so you'll always know the total cash back before you shop.
Do I Earn On Shipping And Taxes? What About Discounts?
No. The amount earned is based on the net purchase amount, which excludes shipping and taxes.
The net amount is the purchase amount after any discounts are applied. For example, if you purchase an item that costs $100 and you have a $20 coupon, the net amount on which you would earn is $80.
What About Coupons Found Elsewhere?
We cannot guarantee that coupon codes found on other websites, print materials, or elsewhere will generate cash back for your BigCrumbs account. Please be aware of this when deciding whether to use such coupons.
Will I Earn Credit When I Purchase A Gift Card Or Gift Certificate?
Typically not. However, there are exceptions. For instance, if a retailer's primary product is gift cards or gift certificates, you will generally earn cash back.
Does Shopping Through BigCrumbs.com Cost More?
No. Never.
Is There Anything Different When I Shop Through BigCrumbs.com?
No. Your shopping experience is exactly the same as if you went directly to the retailer.
Are My BigCrumbs.com Account and Retailer Account(s) The Same?
No. Your BigCrumbs.com account and the accounts you have with our featured retailers are completely separate.
Does BigCrumbs.com Need My Credit Card Information?
No. Your shopping is completely between you and our featured retailers. We never see your credit card information, nor do we need it. We are only notified of your purchases so that we may credit your account.
Membership Types (CrumbSavers and CrumbEarners)
BigCrumbs offers two membership types: CrumbSaver and CrumbEarner.
What's A CrumbSaver?
CrumbSaver members earn cash back on their shopping through BigCrumbs, and commissions on the shopping of any friends they have directly referred to BigCrumbs.com. CrumbSavers earn the maximum amount possible as rebates on their own shopping (listed beside each retailer).
What's A CrumbEarner?
CrumbEarner members earn cash back on their shopping through BigCrumbs, although at a bit lower rate than CrumbSavers. However, CrumbEarners earn when their referrals shop AND when the referrals of their referrals shop, and so on, up to 5 generations.
This dramatically multiplies the amount a CrumbEarner can earn. In fact, CrumbEarners can suddenly find themselves earning additional income from the shopping of thousands of members, many they don't even know!
If I Sign Up As A CrumbSaver, Can I Later Change To A CrumbEarner?
Yes! At any time, you may switch your membership type to CrumbEarner.
If I Sign Up as a CrumbEarner, Can I Later Change To a CrumbSaver?
No. Unfortunately, accounting issues will not allow this change. Once you become a CrumbEarner, you may not change your membership type.
I'm a CrumbEarner and Referred a CrumbSaver, Do I Earn Anything?
Yes, you earn on everyone you directly refer, no matter the membership type.
I'm a CrumbSaver, Can I Refer Someone and Earn Cash?
Yes, CrumbSavers earn the standard Referral Commission (RC) listed by each retailer for all members that you directly refer.

How Can I Make Money?
Simply refer friends, family, and co-workers to BigCrumbs.com (no spamming!) and you'll earn cash every time they save money by shopping through our site.
If you join as a CrumbEarner, you can also earn cash when the referrals of your referrals shop. In fact, this continues for up to 5 "generations" for CrumbEarners!
How Do I Get Credit For Referrals?
Simply ask your referrals to enter your member name (BigCrumbs User ID) when they register. That's it!
You can also use our Referral Wizard to quickly create e-mail invitations containing links to BigCrumbs.com. When your friends click the link to and join, you'll be automatically credited with the referral.
How Do I Know How Much I'm Earning?
All BigCrumbs member have access to an Account Manager which includes the following information:
- How many of your referrals signed up, how many people they referred, and so on
- How much your own shopping has generated in cash back for you
- How much you've earned from the shopping of your referrals
- A monthly statement summarizing this information for the previous month
Payments
How Often Am I Paid?
You will be paid for both your own cash back and for your revenue from referral shopping once per month, provided your BigCrumbs account has a minimum $5 balance at the time of payment. Payments are processed on or about the 15th of every month (i.e. if the 15th falls on a holiday or weekend, payments may be processed on the next business day following).
We pay one month in arrears. If you earn your first rebates and/or referral commissions in January, you will receive your first payment in March. That payment will cover all cash that you earned in January. You will then be paid in April for your February earnings, and so on.
Therefore, the statement generated in March, would cover all shopping through January 31. This one month delay helps to ensure that any purchased items and returns have time to be processed.
How Does BigCrumbs.com Pay Me?
BigCrumbs.com offers two payment options, PayPal and its exicting new BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® for faster and more convenient access to your earnings. This card also entitles you to increased commissions at select merchants plus even bigger future rewards!
Please note that the first payday that will support the card is April 15, 2010.
Members who apply for their BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard® will automatically have their cards loaded on payday each month.
For those who do not apply for the card, the e-mail address that you use to register with BigCrumbs.com is where your payments will be sent, so it should be linked to your PayPal account.
How Do I Receive The Payments BigCrumbs.com Sends Me?
You must have the BigCrumbs PrePaid MasterCard® or a PayPal account to receive payments.
BigCrumbs PrePaid MasterCard®: Cardholders need only activate their cards one time and payments will be automatically loaded onto their cards thereafter. The card can then immediately be used at millions of locations where Prepaid MasterCard® is accepted, at ATMs to withdraw cash, and more!
PayPal: For PayPal payments, if the e-mail address specified on your BigCrumbs.com account is the same as the e-mail address on your PayPal account, then your payment will be automatically deposited into your PayPal account and you will receive an e-mail from PayPal when you receive a payment.
But, if the e-mail address specified on your BigCrumbs.com account is NOT the same as the e-mail address on your PayPal account, you will receive an e-mail from PayPal with instructions for receiving your pending payment.
If you do not have a PayPal account at the time of payment, you will receive an e-mail with instructions for creating an account and receiving your pending payment.
Is There A Minimum Payment Amount?
Yes. You must have a minimum of $5 in your BigCrumbs account before payment is issued.
Is There A Maximum Payment Amount?
BigCrumbs PrePaid MasterCard®: There is a $10,000 maximum balance for your BigCrumbs PrePaid MasterCard®. If a payment we're sending would cause you to exceed that balance, we will pay up to the maximum balance, then pay you the remainder as your card balance allows.
PayPal: There is a $10,000 single-payment maximum allowed by PayPal. If the amount we owe you exceeds $10,000 for one pay period, we will break the payment into multiple payments. The processing fee will be assessed for each payment.
Can I Receive Paper Checks For My Earnings Directly From BigCrumbs.com?
No. We do not currently provide paper checks as a payment option and have no plans to do so.
Is There A Payment Processing Fee?
BigCrumbs Prepaid MasterCard®: No. There is no processing fee for payments, however, there is a $1 monthly card fee. Please see the BigCrumbs PrePaid MasterCard® FAQ for more information.
PayPal: Yes. A processing fee of 2% of the payment amount with a $1.00 cap will be deducted from each payment that we send to you.
This is the fee that PayPal charges BigCrumbs.com. We do not make money from this fee. Note that you will not be charged again by PayPal when you receive your payment.
Is The Money I Receive Considered Income? Will I Receive A 1099?
BigCrumbs no longer sends 1099s to members, however, earnings may still be considered income by the IRS. Please consult your tax professional for more information.
eBay Questions
Which eBay Transactions Pay Me Cash Back?
As the buyer, you will receive cash back on any winning bids and Buy It Now purchases. Best Offer purchases are not guaranteed to be eligible for cash back.
As the seller, you do not earn anything on your sold items, unless the buyer is a BigCrumbs.com member that you referred. Of course, you earn referral commissions on all purchases made by your referred members, whether you are the seller or not.
How Do I Earn From My eBay Purchases?
Log in to BigCrumbs >> Go to eBay >> Place a winning bid OR Buy It Now >> Get Paid!
- You must click through from BigCrumbs.com (or use your QuickCrumb bookmark) just prior to placing a winning bid or making a Buy It Now commitment to receive credit.
- If you are going to eBay to make several bids, you may click through once from BigCrumbs and place all of those bids, without having to return to BigCrumbs between each bid.
IMPORTANT: You should not visit any other websites and click through to eBay from them (even in another browser window) between your BigCrumbs click-through and the placement of any eBay bids.
How Much Do I Earn From eBay Purchases?
CrumbSavers
Earn 36% of the seller's fees in cash back when you shop and 4% of the seller's fees when your direct referrals shop.
CrumbEarners
Earn 20% of the seller's fees in cash back when you shop and 4% of the seller's fees when your direct referrals shop.
To estimate the seller's fee, you can view eBay's fee page. It is difficult to determine the Feature fees paid by the seller beforehand (if any), but you can get a very good estimate of the other fees on this page.
Do I Receive A Portion Of All Seller's Fees for eBay Purchases?
Yes! Cash back and referral commissions are based on the entire eBay seller's fee. This includes insertion fees, final value fees, and any listing upgrade fees when applicable!
Can I Use A Sniper Service/Program?
No. BigCrumbs.com is not compatible with sniper services.
